Cheers Together | Public Sculpture at Qingdao Golden Beach Beer City
As China's first bronze sculpture representing beer culture, the work freezes the moment of two raised mugs meeting, turning celebration, friendship, and openness into public form.
Cheers Together stands at the main entrance of Qingdao Golden Beach Beer City. Measuring 13.6 meters high and 26.8 meters wide, weighing about 56 tons, and cast in bronze, it is the largest bronze-cast sculpture in China. Two hands holding beer mugs meet in a toast, and the dynamic gesture of clinking glasses forms an architectural gateway. Through this idea of a gate, the artist gives form to equality, friendship, and cooperation: only through open exchange can cultures build bridges and move toward a shared door of civilization. For Qingdao, beer is both a local identity and a window onto Chinese beer culture; set within a city of sunshine, beach, festival, and world beer culture, the sculpture becomes a landmark of regional and global cultural exchange.
